  • Cloud Onboarding Engineer

    We are looking for an Onboarding Engineer who will assist customers with uploading their data into our Cloud infrastructure.

    You will be assigned to:

    • Develop and write ETL processes for disparate data sources and formats for importing to Quantivo database
    • Load very large datasets in the Quantivo database
    • Manage automated jobs and operate our Cloud infrastructure at Amazon EC2.

    Technical Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong scripting skills (Jython/Python, Unix Shell)
    • Experienced using Linux and Windows servers
    • Strong and current SQL skills
    • ETL and processing of large datasets
    • Database maintenance and administration

    General requirements:

    • You enjoy developing and documenting clear, concise operational procedures
    • You pride yourself in maintaining meticulously organized server environments
    • You like to work independently and are available to work variable shifts
    • You are able to deliver under time pressure and meet deadlines

    Desired Skills:

    • Knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service) and multi-tenant architectures
    • Familiar with Java programming
    • Experience using cloud based architectures (e.g. Amazon Elastic Cloud)
    • Used source control systems (e.g. SVN, CVS, etc.)

    You will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Database Kernel Architect / Technical Lead

    Job Description: this position will be responsible for leading the architecture, design and implementation of a cutting-edge database kernel specifically designed for large-scale data analytics.

    Location: San Mateo, CA

    Job Requirements:

    • 4+ years of recent kernel-level development experience in C++ in a multi-threaded server or DBMS product.
    • Recent and extensive experience programming in Java.
    • 8+ years of overall commercial software development experience.
    • Guru-level knowledge of SQL.
    • Demonstrated experience in database internals with focus on query optimization, execution planning and data structure access methods.
    • Experience supervising other engineers with emphasis on driving core design definitions and architectural principles.
    • Proven experience delivering successful products through the full product lifecycle.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • BS Computer Science or equivalent.
    • An entrepreneurial, self-motivated mindset.

    Bonus Requirements:

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science with emphasis on database, analytics or data mining research.
    • Direct experience with an open source database system such as MySQL, Derby or PostgreSQL.
    • Strong operating system internals knowledge.
    • Experience working in a SaaS environment.
    • Experience working with reporting, database or analytics infrastructure such as OLAP servers, reporting frameworks, data warehouse technology.
